WATERLESS COOKING VS. OLD METHOD COOKING

Old method of cooking requires water for two basic reasons:

  1. Water keeps the bottom of the pan from burning out.
  2. Water transmits heat to the food so it becomes cooked. 

Old method of cooking has four very damaging effects on food:

  1. Mineral loss - Water soluble minerals are extracted by boiling in water.
  2. Vitamin loss - Cooking in 212 degree boiling water destroy heat soluble vitamins.
  3. Flavor loss - Flavor is extracted from vegetables by boiling them in water.
  4. Wasted food - Over cooking and burning will occur unless the food is watched constantly.

     With our modem method of cooking these damaging effects are eliminated by the absence of water for cooking. Our utensil is a 7 ply stainless steel kitchen tool constructed to withstand the direct contact with cooking heat without damage to the utensil. Because of this the first (1) need for water is eliminated.

     As our utensil heats (on medium flame), moisture from the food becomes hot vapor. Your food receives its heat from this hot vapor instead of hot water, so the second (2) need for water is also eliminated.

     With water eliminated, so are the four damaging effects of water cooking. Vapor cannot extract water soluble minerals, vitamins or flavor as does water. You can also cook two or more vegetables in one pan. Water cooking will transmit flavor and color between food ... vapor cooking cannot.
